updated obit for Dr. Kenneth Jacques

Dr. Kenneth L. Jacques of Oxford, passed away June 29, 2015, at the age of 73. He devoted his life to the ministry of his Lord. Dr. Jacques served as the pastor of Harmony Baptist Church, in Covington, for 27 years, but most recently was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He led church services once a week, for the residents of Riverside Health Care, Merryvale Assisted Living and The Benton House. He enjoyed spending time in his flower garden, but more than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family. Preceding him in death were his parents, Emmett and Eva (Shore) Jacques.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara S. Jacques; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Robert Gore of Stockbridge, Sandy and Glenn Ozburn of Oxford; grandchildren, Matthew Ozburn, Emma Ozburn; sister, Bennie Jean Muliere; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services for Dr. Jacques will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Mike Scott and Dr. Scott Caudill officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 2, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Faith Baptist Church – Missions Fund, 4171 Highway 142, Newborn, GA 30056.
