Clifford "Tip" Alexander, Jr., of Porterdale, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the age of 78. Mr. Alexander attended Led by the Spirit Baptist Church and retired from Benton Truck Lines in Conyers. A hard worker with a heart of gold, he put others above himself, always helping those in need. Mr. Alexander was an avid Georgia Tech fan who loved his family, friends, and animals dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford, Sr. and Ilene Berry Alexander.
Survivors include his daughter, Angie Gourley (Stephen); son, Steven Alexander; grandchildren, Noah Gourley, Stephen C. Gourley, Taylor Alexander, Landon Alexander, Lauryn Smith, Brandon Bonkowski; and great-granddaughter, Lola Elizabeth Mendez.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Alexander will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, 11:00 A.M., at East View Cemetery, 1127 Eastview Road NE, in Conyers, with Rev. Barney Johnson officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Thursday, September 9, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
