Frances Palmer Stone, of Monroe, passed away November 10, 2012, at the age of 95. Mrs. Stone was a resident of Walton County for 93 years. She was employed at Bibb Manufacturing Company for 20 years. She retired from Kuppenheimer Manufacturing Company also after 20 years of service. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Stone; 3 sons, Kennedy, Larry, and Phillip Stone; and her parents, John Wesley and Evie Lou (Lephard) Palmer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Garland and Joyce Stone of Oxford; daughters-in-law, Sandra Stone of Monroe and Dot Stone of Conyers; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Stone will be held Monday, November 12, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Larry Carter and Rev. Garland Stone officiating, and interment following in Walnut Grove Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 11, 2012, from 3:30 to 8:00 PM.
