Lois Marion France of Covington, passed away November 14, 2014, at the age of 69. Mrs. France worked for the United States Federal Government, in the General Services Administration. Following her retirement, she worked as a computer technician for Middle Ridge Elementary School. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, and also served as pianist there, and at other churches where her son served in ministerial positions. She raised her children in a Christian home, and instilled in them the values of love and selflessness. Mrs. France was a devout Christian, a dedicated prayer warrior and an amazing friend to all she knew. She had an infectious laugh, and even during her fight against cancer, she was a living testimony of God's love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford C. France; great-granddaughter, Kaia Jordan; and her parents, James and Blanche (Brown) Criswell.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Katherine Jenovese of Covington, Carrie and Tim Bates of Madison, Rick and Wanda Jenovese of Social Circle; Amy and Chris Allen of Covington; grandchildren, Brittney Jordan, Kyle and Rachel Jordan, Marcus and Nikole Jordan, Nichole Jenovese, Jessica and Clint Culpepper, Hannah Jenovese, Sarah Jenovese, Christian Allen, Andres Allen; great-granddaughters, Kayden Jordan, Kylie Jordan; step-children, Darrin France of Covington, Jill Burgdorf of Monroe, Adam France of California; five step-grandchildren; brother, Jim Criswell, Jr., of Lawrenceville; niece, Becky Criswell; nephew, Drayton Criswell.
Funeral Services for Mrs. France will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 3:00 PM, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 8111 Brown Bridge Road, in Covington, with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Monday, November 17, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
