Don Whitaker of Covington, passed away February 9, 2015, at the age of 55. He cherished time spent with his family. Don was a dedicated employee of Inglett & Stubbs and enjoyed the company of those he worked with. He loved traveling with his wife and spending time outdoors fishing. Don will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Whitaker; daughter, Wendy Whitaker of Covington; son, Bobby Whitaker of McDonough; grandson, Jonah Whitaker; parents, Bobby and Betty Whitaker of Smyrna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Vicki Whitaker of Smyrna, Harold and Alfie Whitaker of Gainesville, Brent and Kelly Whitaker of Dallas; mother-in-law, Patsy Rogers; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet and Allen Blalock of Conyers, Chuck Rogers of McDonough; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Don will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Billy Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM, in Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, 3498 Swallows Creek Road, in Hiawassee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 10, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
