Dorothy Baynes Jones, of Conyers, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the age of 85. Mrs. Jones enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and working in her yard – especially in her flower garden. She cherished her family dearly, loved taking care of her son, Dennis, and will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bobby Jones, Sr.; son, Bobby Jones, Jr.; and her parents, Walter and Aldora (Ross) Baynes.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Mike Jones of Newborn; son, Dennis Jones of Lithonia; grandchildren, Brad Jones, Blake Jones, Bren Jones; great-grandchildren, Asher Jones, Connor Jones; sisters, Mary Land, Linda McGuire, Carolyn Giddens.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jones will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating and interment following in Melwood Cemetery, in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to the service, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.
