Cynthia Doreen "Blossom" Tinker

Cynthia Doreen "Blossom" Tinker of Covington, passed away May 14, 2017, at 68 years of age.  Born in Jamaica, Mrs. Tinker moved to Canada in 1975, relocated to Brooklyn in 1982, then settled in the Atlanta area in 1993.  She worked as a Mental Therapy Aide at Brooklyn Developmental Center, then later obtained her Cosmetology Degree to begin her career as a stylist and beautician.  Mrs. Tinker attended Victorious Life Church in Conyers, GA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel Reid and May Merricks.

 

Survivors include her husband, Alphonso Tinker; daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene Tinker of Covington, Karen and Derrick McEwan of Conyers, Ann-Marie Burdett and Orlando Ramey of McDonough; son, Rohan Tinker of Covington; grandchildren, Christina Bowe, Jonathan Tinker, Christopher McEwan, Brandon Burdett, Alexandra McEwan, Tyler McEwan; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Paulett Mattie, Sandra Moore, Claire Reid, Shirley Reid, Claudet James, Maxine Barrett, three other sisters in Jamaica; brothers, Anthony Reid, Devon Reid; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Tinker will be held at Victorious Life Church, 1615 Remington Court, SE, Conyers, GA, with Bishop J. Larry Gunter officiating.  At this time final arrangements are not available.
