James Walter Cox, of East Point, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, at the age of 89. Mr. Cox was a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He honorably served his country for 16 years, and his tours of duty took him overseas where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Martin) Cox; parents, Walter Lee and Vera (West) Cox.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Bebe Lois (Cox) McDonald; brother, Alan West Cox; as well as his nephews, Dan Worley and wife, Michelle, Lt. Alan West Cox, Jr., and wife, Cassie.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Cox will be held Thursday, August 22, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at Hillcrest Cemetery, East Point, Georgia, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating.
