Carolyn Stutchman, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born March 13, 1934 in Columbus, Georgia to John Clark O'Pry and Ouida Bell Welch O'Pry. Carolyn worked and retired from Georgia Power Company where she worked in many capacities over the years. She was a member of many churches in her lifetime, most recently of Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, GA. She was a huge University of Alabama football fan and never missed watching a game. Carolyn was a loving and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Kay Andrews; parents; brother, Julian Richard O'Pry.
Survivors include her Husband of 69 years, Rex D. Stutchman, Sr., of Conyers, Georgia; Son, Dale Stutchman, Jr., (Brenda) of Brunswick, Georgia; Grandchildren, Rex Stutchman, III (Lari) of Covington, Georgia, Amanda (Wayne) Daniels of Monticello, Georgia, Danny (Crystal) Bennett of Covington, Georgia; Great-Grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan) Ralston, Wyatt Daniels, Danny Bennett Jr, Shelby Bennett, Tyler Stutchman, Alexis Daniels; Great-Great Grandchild, Jaxon Ralston.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Stutchman will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, in Columbus. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
