Gloria Sprankle

Gloria Sprankle of Porterdale, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020, at the age of 85. Sassy and independent, Mrs. Sprankle always had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories and talk on the phone with her family and friends. Hosting gatherings with her family for holidays was a favorite of hers. Mrs. Sprankle took pride in making delicious meals for her family and enjoyed giving gifts whenever she could. She loved her Lord and will be remembered as an extremely loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Sprankle was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Mary (Odelle) Sprayberry; sister, Virginia Mansfield; brother, James Sprayberry.

 

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Sprankle; daughters and son-in-law, Debra and Robert Weinmann, Michele and Perry Chrisman; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Hayes; grandchildren and their spouses, Sherri and Joseph Bartlett, Adam and Jennifer Weinmann, Brittney and Justin Gwynn, Lindsey and Travis Long, Reese and Kaitlin Hayes, Raven and Alan Baxter, Shelby Hayes, Mary and Micah Jaqua, Michelle Weinmann, Josh Weinmann, Eli Weinmann; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Luke, Hannah, Kaleb, Miriam, Thomas, Amber, Timothy, Elijah, Aliyah, Wyatt, Ivey; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver, Alaina; brother, Calvin Sprayberry; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Sprankle will be held Monday, November 2, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Steve Hall officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family, Sunday, November 1, 2020, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.

 

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services. In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
