Larry Gene Clark of Oxford, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, at the age of 70. Mr. Clark worked with his family's construction business for 50 years and was a member of Higher Praise Tabernacle. Lovingly known by his family and friends as "Butterbean", he was sweet and kindhearted. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and shared that passion with his grandsons, Matt and Brent along with his wisdom. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Clark; grandson, Matt Stephenson; parents, R.L. and Nettie Jo Clark; sister, Rhonda Walden; daughter-in-law, Michelle Clark.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Clark, Laura Ramey, Dana Clark and William Biddy; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Lauri Clark, Bobby and Lisa Clark; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Bill Goodwin, Sheila and Mike Mashburn, Darlene and Keith Whitley, Arlene and Kenneth Morrell, Tammy Farmer; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Rose Clark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Clark will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, 1:00 P.M., at Higher Praise Tabernacle, 3915 Highway 162, in Covington, with Pastor Harold Clark and Pastor Kenneth Morrell officiating and interment following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Panola Road, in Stone Mountain. Friends are invited to visit with his family at the church, one hour prior to his service, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
