Thomas C. McGuire, Jr. (Tom) of Covington, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at the age of 79. Mr. McGuire was a native of Atlanta and attended Murphy High School, graduating class of 1960. He was a proud member of IBEW 613 where he served as president and business manager. Mr. McGuire was a good Christian man that loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Church 213. He always loved spending time with his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. McGuire was a huge sports fan who loved the University of Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and the Hawks. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Ramona McGuire; daughters, Robbin Lee (Robert), Cindy McGuire, Kim Glennon (Gary); grandchildren, Jessica Jeffares, Cameron Coker, Chris Kuhns (Elizabeth), Austin Kuhns; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Jeffares, Saje Coker, Luke Boyd, Cohen Coker, Mckenzi Kuhns, Nova Kuhns, Liam Kuhns; sister, Diane Delaney.
A Funeral Service for Mr. McGuire will be held Friday, November 26, 2021, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Stan Patterson officiating and interment following in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
