John Allen Hagler, of Buckhead, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 73. Mr. Hagler organized and was the chapter leader of GWRRA. He loved riding motorcycles and loved taking road trips on his bike. When he wasn't riding his motorcycle, Mr. Hagler enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, taking his grandchildren fishing, and loved watching cowboy shows and wrestling. He was good at woodworking and was always able to fix anything, enjoyed tinkering with things, and was a great mechanic. Mr. Hagler was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Hagler; grandparents, Pap and Momma.
Survivors include his loving wife, Trudy Hagler; daughter, Christi Gaines; son, Mark Hagler (LaShawn); grandchildren, Allen Hagler, Justin Gaines (Brittany), Tyler Gaines (Amber), Abbi Hagler; great-grandchildren, Emma, James, Olivia, Waylon, Hunter; brothers, Tommy Hagler (Lynn), Curtis Landis; sisters, Ann Comer, Debbie Landis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Hagler will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
