Arthur Busbin Obituary

Arthur Busbin, of Locust Grove, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at the age of 79. A native of Chula, Georgia, Mr. Busbin was a proud patriot and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Once his time in the military ended, he carved out a career as a surveyor with Watts-Browning for 42 and a half years. Mr. Busbin was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula, Georgia. He was a dedicated father and loving husband. Mr. Busbin was preceded in death by his parents; Omeda and Wiley Johnson Busbin, Sr.; and 7 siblings.

 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Busbin; daughter, Lynn Bannister (Gary); grandchildren, Amanda Bannister, Jack Bannister; brother, Wiley Busbin, Jr. (Betty); and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A Graveside Service for Mr. Busbin will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 11:30 A.M., at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Magnolia Drive, in Tifton.

 

Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
