David Diggory of Covington, passed away October 24, 2012, at the age of 80. Mr. Diggory constructed a boat, and often traveled, with his family, to Catalina Island off the coast of California. In addition, he loved traveling across the United States, in his motorhome, with the love of his life. Mr. Diggory was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Diggory; and his parents, Harry Wells and Mary Elizabeth (Evans) Diggory.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria Faith Diggory; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Spehar, all of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Beth Diggory of Stone Mountain, Larry and Diane Diggory of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Matthew Diggory, Stephanie Spehar, Michael Diggory, Ashley Diggory, Heather and Konan Thomason; great-grandchildren, K.J. Thomason, Caedmon Thomason, Joel Thomason; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Diggory will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012, 11:30 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Richard Culpepper officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 26, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
