Wellovee Harris Willis of Oxford, went to be with her Lord and Savior, June 10, 2014. She was born April 18, 1938, in Delta, Alabama, to the late J.V. and Elizabeth (Taylor) Boggs. Mrs. Willis was a member of Corinth Christian Church, in Loganville. She traveled often, and especially enjoyed her trips to Aruba and Hawaii. Mrs. Willis adored her family, and cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Harris; son, Tim Harris; and her brothers, Jerry Boggs and Randall Boggs.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Eddie Willis; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Steve Ellison; son, Mark Harris, all of Oxford; grandchildren, Amanda Harris, Lainey Harris, Shaun Harris, Brian Ellison, John Ellison; great-grandson, Garrett Harris; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Willis will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Don Hardison and Lester Waters officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
