Obit - Charles Nelson "Chuck" Parry

Charles Nelson (Chuck) Parry, 72, of Oxford, died Tuesday, October 7th, in his home following a short illness.  He was the son of Evelyn and Nelson Parry of Florida, and a 1960 graduate of Melbourne High School. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann, in 1963, in Melbourne, Florida. They moved to their current home, in Oxford, in 1972. Chuck was the co-owner of P.M. Auto Service, in Conyers, for 29 years. He was an avid motorcyclist, a lifetime member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and most recently an active member of the Chick fil-A Moo Cow Bikers club. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and booming laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Parry of Oxford; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Lance Lang, Kristine and David Pagano; grandchildren,  Jackson, Cooper and Carter Lang, Ethan Pagano, all of Beverly, MA; sister, Page Graham of Knightdale, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Due to his singular ability to confound and amuse, we have always used his name as a verb.   In his honor, we are submitting the following definition to Merriam-Webster for publication:
Chuck (v.) \chuk\
1.  To annoy or amuse in an effort to get goods and services at a reduced rate or for free.
2.  To ask a question without context and with no further dialog.
3.  To take the most circuitous route to a destination for no discernible reason.

A visitation will be held at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home Friday, October 10th, from 6 to 8 pm.

To know him was to love him. We love you, Daddy.
