Sara Bone, of Covington, passed away May 17, 2015, at the age of 75. A member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Mrs. Bone enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and completing crossword puzzles. In addition, she enjoyed caring for animals, especially dogs and cats. She loved babies, whether they were her family members or not. Mrs. Bone was preceded in death by her husband, Howell Bone; daughter, Kayron Bone; parents, Aquilla and Ella Ruth Hailey; as well as her sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cheryl and Bob McGunigal, Nita and Charlie Tarleton, David Bone, Debra and Joseph Sheriff; grandchildren and their spouses, Vanessa and Chris Green, Eli McGunigal, Jill and Aaron Wadley, Elizabeth Tarleton, Amy Tarleton; great-grandchildren, Courtney McGunigal, Levi Wadley, Naomi Wadley; sister, Mary Rutledge; brothers and sister-in-law, W.T. and Margie Hailey, Billy Wayne Hailey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Bone will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Prospect United Methodist Church, 6752 Highway 212, Covington, with Rev. Ronny Brannen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Tuesday, May 19, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
