Obit Coralou Nichols


Coralou Nichols of Covington, died August 11, 2016, at the age of 82. Mrs. Nichols enjoyed camping, shopping, gardening, collecting trinkets and dining out. Additionally, she liked vacationing in Florida. Mrs. Nichols was a fun-loving, joyful lady who loved her family dearly and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Together, they enjoyed playing board games. She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lynn Nichols; granddaughter, Jennifer Smith and her husband, Steven; great-granddaughter, Kirsten Smith; and her parents, Harold and Nola Harner.

 

Survivors include her devoted husband of 65 years, Joe Nichols; daughters, Carol McCluskey of Lilburn, Debbie Connell of Conyers; grandchildren, Jason McCluskey (Zandra), Kelley Harrelson (Wade), Michael Nichols; great-grandchildren, Makayla Smith, Jordan McCluskey, Jacob McCluskey, Avery Harrelson, Leah Harrelson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Nichols will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Donald Day officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, prior to her service, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
