Jack Lazenby of Covington, passed away August 25, 2016, at the age of 75. Mr. Lazenby attended Harvest Baptist Church. He retired from Air Conditioning Specialists after 37 years of service. Mr. Lazenby, armed with a remarkable sense of humor, was known to be quite the kidder. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather, who could be found camping and fishing in his spare time. Mr. Lazenby will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Elaine Lazenby; parents Hubert Melvin and Emma Ruth (Johnson) Lazenby; sisters, Judy Martin, Anita Cantwell; and brother, Pat Lazenby.
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 56 years, Pat Lazenby of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Chris Day of Loganville; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Tori Lindsey, Chase Lindsey, all of Covington, Sydney Day and Christopher Day, both of Loganville; great-grandchildren, soon-to-be Chevy Dean Lindsey, Dylan Martin Stringer; sister and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Joe Jenkins of Hollywood, MD., Joe Martin of Covington; brother and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Cathy Lazenby of Covington, Peggy Lazenby of Porterdale; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Lazenby will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, 11AM, at Harvest Baptist Church, 2075 Highway 212, Covington, GA, with Rev. Richard Culpepper and Rev. Darrell Allen officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, Sunday, August 28, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
