Lola M. Farrar of Conyers passed away October 17, 2016, at 79 years of age. Affectionately known as "Granny", Mrs. Farrar enjoyed taking care of children, even to the second generation. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower garden. In addition, Mrs. Farrar cherished the time she spent traveling with her husband having been on 15 cruises together, including Alaska and the Panama Canal. Her most treasured hobby was loving her family. Mrs. Farrar will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death were her parents, Claude and Elnor (Callaham) Taylor; brothers, Bobby Taylor, James Taylor, George Taylor; sisters, Montez Gray, Leola Taylor, Doris Black.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald Farrar of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jay Darwin of Covington; son Ronnie Farrar of McDonough; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Wanda Taylor of Roswell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Farrar will be held Friday, October 21, 2016, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA 30329.
