L.C. Farrow of Mansfield, passed away June 20, 2017, at the age of 87. From 1948 – 1952, Mr. Farrow proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was employed by Lockheed Martin, for 10 years, before continuing his career with Delta Airlines where he was a dedicated employee for 32 years. Mr. Farrow was a faithful member of Mansfield Baptist Church, for 25 years, where he served as deacon and sang in the choir. He enjoyed spending time outside, working in his yard, playing golf and painting landscape scenes on sand dollars. Mr. Farrow was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Farrow; parents, Wilson and Pearl (Pilgrim) Farrow; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty J. Farrow; daughter, Karen Booth of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Marlene Farrow of Kingsport, TN; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Farrow will be held Friday, June 23, 2017, 3:00 PM, at Mansfield Baptist Church, 101 Woodlawn Road, in Mansfield, with Dr. Jeff Perkins officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church Friday, one hour prior to his service, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Mansfield Baptist Church Building Fund.
