Barbara Rider Moon of Covington, passed away August 21, 2017, at 79 years of age. Born to Hayne Fuller Rider and Dora (Cochran) McGahee, Ms. Moon enjoyed passing time watching soap operas and shopping. But above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Ms. Moon was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Greene; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters Regina Maughon of Covington, Sharon Anderson of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Shannon Anderson, Stephanie Perez; great-grandchildren, Alex, Briana, Makayla; as well as special friends, Betty Lou Hess and Alma Jean Baxter.
A Funeral Service for Ms. Moon will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Paul Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 2030 Memorial Park Dr., Gainesville, GA 30504. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service on Thursday, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.
