Daniel Hedgebeth Hoover of Conyers, passed away suddenly, August 21, 2017, at 47 years of age. Born in Elizabeth City, NC, Daniel was raised in Virginia. In 1991, he earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Corcoran School of Art, in Washington, DC, and, in 1996, Daniel obtained his master's degree in Fine Arts, from Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia. Employed by the Atlanta History Center and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Daniel also spent time working at the Hammond House, which Atlanta University Center supports. He was preceded in death by his father, Australia Arthur Hoover, Jr.; and niece, Olivia Hoover.
Survivors include his son, Mason William Koi Hoover of Decatur; mother, Aileen H. Hoover; sister, Kenya Hoover, both of Loganville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Australia A. Hoover, III, and his wife, Germaine, Michael Hoover, and his wife, Breeanne, all of Conyers; nieces and nephews; Tanzania Hoover, Iyona Hoover, Reyna Hoover, Jamya Hoover, India Hoover, Jaimie Hoover, Jacob Hoover, Julina Hoover; as well as a host of aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Hoover will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating. Friends may visit with his family, at the funeral home, Friday, September 1, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
