Clara Ruth Morgan of Covington, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 88 years of age. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Morgan adored spending time with her family, especially cooking meals for them. When not entertaining her loved ones, she liked to eat meals out – Mexican and oysters being two of her favorite foods. Mrs. Morgan also delighted in reminiscing about the past and revisiting where she once lived. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Alice (Darly) Thomas.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Pam Morgan of Monroe; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bill Bouton of Cumming; son, Charles Morgan of Buckhead, GA; grandchildren, Tracy Hernandez, Dwayne Morgan, Melisa Jackson, Lee Morgan, Adam Morgan, Pam Morgan, Rodney Schoenfeld, Erica Reynolds, Elicia Fick; 22 Great Grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held Monday, August 14, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams and David Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM.
