James Lee Davis of Covington, went home to be with his Lord September 25, 2017, at 52 years of age. Always loving life and living it to the fullest, Mr. Davis enjoyed spending his leisure time playing the guitar, traveling to visit family, camping, and going to the beach. He will be remembered a man who loved his family and cherished the time he spent making memories with them. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his mother, Joann (Roberts) Gagner; father, Harley Dean Davis; and niece, Casey Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Stephens of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Billy Ringer of Greer, SC; granddaughter, Taylor Ringer; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Eddie Gillespie of Martin; brother, Dean Davis of Watkinsville; nieces, Cheyenne Gillespie, Julie Davis, Lucy Hadaway; nephews, John Davis, Jackson Collins; as well as several cousins.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Davis will be held Friday, September 29, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Sharon Thompson, Lisa Gillespie, and Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery, 2191 Colie Springs Road, Bishop, GA. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday, September 28, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
