Margaret Jones, of Covington, stepped over in Glory on October 6, 2017, at the age of 62. Mrs. Jones was an ordained minister and faithful member at Gospel Mission Church. As music was her life‒she loved to play piano and sing‒Jesus gave her a new song and she sang it wherever she went! Mrs. Jones enjoyed a good laugh and delighted in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Working in the yard and playing with her dog, Princess, also brought her tremendous joy. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Mae (McCall) Parr; and son-in-law, Sean Nolan.
Survivors include her loving husband, Virgil Lee Jones; daughters, Tonya Nolan, Hope Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Kristie Harwell; grandchildren, Bryce Nolan, Tristen Jones, Mason Harwell, Mckayla Faith Jones, Bailee Nolan, Kelsey Harwell, Lily Jones; sisters, Judy Herndon, Joyce Shepherd, Willie Strickland; brother, Sammy Parr; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Jones will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 2:00 PM at Gospel Mission Church, 755 Almon Rd, Covington, with Pastor Wayne Whitley and Rev. Larry Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Memorial Gardens, Highway 81, Loganville. Friends may visit with her family Monday, October 9, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington.
