Mary "Ila" Wilson of Covington, passed away February 3, 2018, at 73 years of age. Mrs. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Newton County and a 1962 graduate of Newton County High School. She attended Lovejoy United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Wilson's family and friends considered her caring demeanor to be her greatest gift - one that she selflessly shared with others. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Wilson; and parents, Ollie and Mary Lois (Patrick) Mask.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 55 years, Norris Wilson; daughter, Roxanne Wilson of Monroe; son, Franklin N. Wilson of Hayesville, NC; grandchildren, Patrick Wilson, Victoria Prunty, Christopher Wilson; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Gail Mask of Covington, Robert and Becky Mask of Oxford; niece, Jennifer Mask; great-niece, Brylee; and great-nephew, Payton.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Wilson will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 3:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington. Flowers are accepted, or, memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy United Methodist Church, 12835 Highway 36, Covington, GA 30014.
