Lynn Anne Halstead Cockrum of Covington, passed away September 15, 2018, at the age of 54. Lynn's life was a testimony of her love for family. She dedicated herself to ensuring that her husband and sons were happy and successful. Through her actions, Lynn demonstrated the beauty of a giving spirit and instilled that quality in her loved ones. She enjoyed watching Chris compete on the racetrack and was always in the stands rooting for Andrew as he played ball. In addition to spending time with family, Lynn valued her lifelong friendships and made spending time with them a priority. She was preceded in death by father, James Halstead; sister, Gail Halstead Hogan.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 33 years, Lynn Cockrum; sons, Christopher Cockrum, Andrew Cockrum; mother, Florine Halstead DeConinck; sisters, Sandy La Croix, Sharon Halstead Smith, Nancy Halstead Hamlin; brother, James R. Halstead, Jr.; nieces, Courtney Hoover, Amanda Smith, Kayla Banks, Kimberly Oravec; nephews, George Preffer, Cody Smith; as well as mother-in-law, Georgia Cockrum.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Cockrum will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018, 2:00 P.M., at
Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Payne and Pastor Chris Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Eastview Road, in Conyers. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Wednesday, September 19, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
