Edgar H. Smith, Jr., "Eddie" of Tucker, 64, passed away December 27, 2012, after a long illness and is now with Jesus. A 1966 graduate of Tucker High, he served in the US Army proudly in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby M. Smith and Edgar H. Smith, Sr.
He is survived by his special friend, Della Lilly of Covington; friends, Cedric Neason of Tucker, Bobby Johnson of Cherry Log, GA; sister, Barbara S. and Richard McCoy; nieces, Lauren and Victor Borowsky, Caroline McCoy; great-nieces, Lillian and Julia.
A Graveside Service for Edgar will be held Sunday, December 30, 2012, 4:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington, with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Sunday, from 3:00-4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Petra Foundation, Inc., 60 Deep Step Road, Covington, GA 30014.
