John Robert "Bob" Dempsey of Covington, passed away December 3, 2012, at the age of 63. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. A man of many words, he was a loving husband, wise father and proud grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Lewis Dempsey, and brother, Charles Louis Dempsey.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Dempsey; sons, John Robert Dempsey, Jr., Joe Johnson, Bobby Thornton; grandchildren, John Dempsey, III, David, Michael, and Austin Dempsey, Joseph and Samantha Johnson, Corrine, Robert, and Cailyn Thornton, Luke and Brooke Stringer; sister, Mary Dempsey; uncle and aunt, Hans and Christine Krause.
A Graveside Service for Bob will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington, with Pastor Adam Cooper officiating.
