John H. Park, Jr., of Covington, passed on to reunite with his parents, John and Emma Lou Park and sister, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Gattis on December 15, 2012, at the age of 82. He was born in 1930 in Covington, Georgia. He retired after 38 years of service as a general superintendent with General Motors Corporation. Mr. Park was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and loved dearly by his family and friends.
Mr. Park is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Jean Park; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy (Park) and John Crews of Snellville; Terri (Park) and Billy Langford of Lilburn; and Cheryl Denise and Barry Nierengarten of Palm Harbor, FL; two grandsons, Michael Melton and Cody Crews also of Snellville; sister, Betty Jean (Henderson) Jenkins.
Funeral Services for Mr. Park will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor John Byerly officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
