Vera Musgrove George of Conyers, passed away March 12, 2013, at the age of 83. Mrs. George enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and watching Braves baseball, football, and soccer. She loved visiting the mountains. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Mrs. George was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Arthey (Kitchens) Musgrove; and her brother, Bob Musgrove.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, J.C. "Candler" George of Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law, Warren Candler and Robyne George of Monticello, Frank Pierce and Lynn George of Covington; grandchildren, Amanda George of Grayson, Jeff George of Monticello, Rev. Kim Schmitt of Fayetteville, Kristen and Panet Peterson of Covington; great-grandson, Jacob Schmitt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lavoid and Dot Musgrove, Ray and Arlene Musgrove, all of Conyers.
Funeral Services for Mrs. George will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Prospect United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kimberly Schmitt officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Wednesday, March 13, from 5:00-8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church, 6752 Highway 212, Covington, GA 30016.
