Barbara R. Mote of Covington, passed away May 15, 2013, at the age of 77. She enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, working in her yard, taking walks, and watching the Atlanta Braves. Barbara also enjoyed arts and crafts; she was a talented painter and an excellent cook. Barbara was a quiet, strong-willed, and independent woman who always believed she could handle any problem that arose. After the death of her husband eleven years ago, she single-handedly took care of several acres of property, a large fish pond, and maintenance around the house. Yet, she was always there when others needed help. She loved her family dearly, and always enjoyed traveling with her girls. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Mote; parents, Riley E. and Magnolia (Garner) McFalls; sister, Lillian Cumbie; and her brothers, J.D. McFalls, James E. McFalls, and Ralph McFalls.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and James Stephens of Atlanta, Terri and Bill Jones of Birmingham, AL; her beloved cat, Slinky; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
