Willie James Frazier, of McDonough, GA, passed away May 20, 2013, at the age of 74. One of thirteen children, he was born March 21, 1939, in Wetumpka, AL, to Leslie and Vinnie Frazier. He was a truck driver for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling the open road. It was often he would say he did not like to be confined to any one place. Mr. Frazier was a proud, loving man and would do anything for his wife, children and grandchildren. It has been a long struggle for Willie James Frazier, but he didn't let his ailment bring him down until the very end. His determination to stay and fight is such an inspiration to his family. He is loved and will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Isdora Sykes, Lucille Bracy, Ennis Bernice Gunn; brothers, Levan Frazier and Leslie Frazier, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Doretha Frazier of McDonough, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Virgilio Bolanos of Miami, FL, Pamela and Niel Mann of Covington, GA; sons, Jeffery Boyer Frazier of Miami, FL, Eric Guy Lassiter of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Derrick Joel Bolanos, Celena Alexis Mann, Aliyah Chyna Frazier, Tiffany Nicole Bolanos, Kaylee Jada Frazier; sisters, Earnestine Washington, Carnelis Jackson, Juanita Frazier, Barbara Ann Cottrell, Christine Anderson; brothers, Wilbert Frazier, Robert Frazier; beloved nephew, Brooks Gunn; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Frazier will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Candy Thacker officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, May 24, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
