Stephen Michael Williams of Covington, died May 14, 2013, at the age of 59. Stephen grew up in Lithonia and was a 1972 graduate of Lithonia High School where he played basketball. He was a dedicated employee of Georgia Power for over 30 years and also worked at his father's sawmill. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and often loved to ride. Stephen was a dedicated father and loving Paw Paw to his three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Williams.
Survivors include his daughter, Gina Williams Oeland; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Adrienne Rider Williams; mother, Catherine "Kaki" Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Richard Duello, Sandra and Chris Weiser; grandsons, Joseph Oeland, Lincoln Oeland, and Tucker Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Stephen will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, 12 Noon, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Mike Wadley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to his service, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Rifle Association of America: NRA Processing Center, P.O. Box 420648, Palm Coast, FL 32142.
