Dale Walter Townson of Social Circle passed away October 13, 2013 at Abbey Hospice. He was 63 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Townson loved hunting, fishing, racing, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed traveling to the mountains. Mr. Townson was a member of the Golden Fleece Lodge #6. He was preceded in death by his father, Cladie Bobby Townson; and brother, Delan Townson.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Katherine Townson of Social Circle; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd Leon and Katherine Townson of Prattville, AL, Kevin Scott and Amy Elizabeth Townson of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Madeline Brunson, Megan Marie Townson, Mackenzie Emma Townson, Morgan Wyatt Townson, Michael Todd Townson, Kaitlin Bundy, Braxton Bundy, Logan Conner Townson, Kymber Sarah Townson; mother, Juanita Sims Townson of Evergreen, AL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and James Padgett of Camden, AL; Dorothy and James Nelson of Alexander City, AL; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service, with full Masonic Rites conducted by 8th District Masonic Memorial Association, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, prior to the service, from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M.
