David Hudgins, age 76, of Oxford, passed away August 13, 2014. He was the owner and founder of Mableton Supply Company. In addition he was a Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner and was very active in the VFW and American Legion. Mr. Hudgins was devoted to his wife for 51 years and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Hudgins; daughter, Teresa H. Hall; parents, Ralph N. and Mary Magdalene (White) Hudgins; and brother and sister-in-law, Bobbie and Larry Hudgins.
Mr. Hudgins is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David Keith and Rebecca Hudgins of Oxford; grandchildren, Johnathan David Hall, Matthew Shane Hall, Mary Christina Thompson; great-grandchildren, Carlie Hall, Emily Hall, Summer Thompson, Alyssa Byrd, Mikayla Kell; sisters, Anne Spence of Steinhatchee, FL, and Marsha Kersey of Live Oak, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Cryptside Service for Mr. Hudgins will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park with Toney Senator officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Friday, August 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
