Betty Sue Wallace Christian of Covington, passed away August 18, 2014, at the age of 89. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, in Covington. Mrs. Christian was a loving wife and mother, and enjoyed watching her sons play sports. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Christian; son, Greg Christian; and her parents, Julian and Flora Belle (Horsley) Wallace.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Christian Helms; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Timothy "Tim" and Phyllis Christian of Johns Creek, Wallace Edward and Toni Christian of Ellaville; grandchildren, Dawn Helms Dalton, Frank Lamar Christian, Elizabeth "Libby" Christian Allen, Kendall Anne Christian Stowell; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin Wallace of Jacksonville, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Christian will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Dr. Douglas Gilreath and Rev. Jan McCoy officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church, 1113 Conyers Street SW, Covington, GA 30014.
