Berry Franklin Ricks, Jr., of Conyers passed away February 14, 2017, at 84 years of age. Mr. Ricks enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and spending family time around the dinner table. In addition, he loved country music and family trips, especially to the Smokey Mountains. Mr. Ricks never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved him dearly. Mr. Ricks was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Irene Ricks; parents, Berry Franklin, Sr., and Tinnie Ruth Ricks; sister Bessie Austin.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Dianne Ricks of Conyers, Ron Ricks of Woodstock; grandchildren, Amanda and Kevin Marks, Melissa and Levi Hales, Tabitha Davidson, Robert Ricks, Jennifer Ricks and David Findley; great-grandchildren, Isabella Hales, Emily Hales, Wyatt Hales, William Marks, Lillian Marks, Austin Davidson, Connor Davidson, Tripp Findley, David Findley; sister, Ann McCullough of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Ricks will be held Friday, February 17, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Chris Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, 677 Legion Road, in Conyers. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service in Friday, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon.
