Barbara Elizabeth Hood of Lawrenceville, passed away February 7, 2017, at the age of 74. Mrs. Hood was a 1960 graduate of Model High School in Rome, Georgia. She worked for Bibb Manufacturing in Porterdale before later retiring from Beaver Manufacturing. In addition to being a devoted mother, she loved to play bingo, listen to traditional country music, and enjoyed reading. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Willingham; father, James T. Conner; brother, Eugene Conner.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Renee Kitchens and Eric Ledford, Brenda Gail Borg, all of Covington, Wanda and David Kennedy of Lawrenceville, Adrienne Hood of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Nikki Hood of Canton; Tony Hood of Covington; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Catherine Conner of Bowersville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hood will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams of New Life Praise Center officiating with entombment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM.
