Dale Mote of Covington, passed away November 30, 2017, at the age of 69. Dale was a teacher for the Newton County School System, for more than 15 years, where, undoubtedly, she touched so many lives. She enjoyed traveling – especially taking cruises, and she loved spending time with her family. Most recently, Dale became immensely proud of her grandson, Peyton, for his acceptance to Georgia Southern University. In addition to the affection she showered upon her family, she often spoiled even her grand dogs, Schultz and Sophie. Dale was perhaps the kindest, most generous person you'd ever meet. She was non-judgmental, loved everyone as her own and will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lewis and Irene (Yarbrough) England.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, James Mote; daughters, Brooke Mote, Shannon Mote; grandson, Peyton Bowker, all of Covington; sisters, Penny Bowker, Clovis McCullers, both of Covington, Maxine Wallace of Summerville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Dale will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit Dale's family at the funeral home, Saturday, December 2, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
