Barbara O. Capes of Covington, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the age of 81. Mrs. Capes enjoyed reading, traveling to St. Simons Island and was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan. Mrs. Capes adored her family and loved spending time with them – especially her grandchildren who she shared a special bond with. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry O. Capes; parents, Eugene and Cleo Oglesbee.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Fred Borgini; Kim and Maurice Carter, Joy and Marty Proctor; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rena Reeves; grandchildren, Rebecca Reeves, McKenzie Reeves, Saxton Ray, Milan Ray, Justin Westbrook, Randy Westbrook; great-grandchild, Daylynn Dennis; cousin, Anne McMahan; several nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Rosie.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Capes will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Sid Haggard officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to her service from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
