Charles Brent Boling of Loganville, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the age of 77. Mr. Boling was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans organization. He also volunteered at ALS events, and liked listening to the singing at the American Legion. In Mr. Boling's spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, exercising, listening to old country music and eating at his favorite place, Stalvey's Restaurant. Having a sweet tooth, he delighted in ice cream and Werther's Original candy. Mr. Boling was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to shoot guns. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (Simpson) Boling; son, Brad Curtis Boling; parents, Herman Curtis and Martha Mae Boling; brother, Robert Mercer Boling.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Boling Reid; son and daughter-in-law, Chad James and Angela Stegall Boling; grandchildren, Maci Jane Thomas, Brady James Boling, Charles Gibson Boling, Ashley Mae Reid, Robert Brent Reid, Blaine Chad Boling; great-grandson, Jaxon Bradley Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Debbie Boling; nieces, Buffy Boling, Bobbie Boling; nephews, Curt Boling, Clint Boling; as well as special friend, Dianne Wilson;
A Memorial Service for Mr. Boling will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, 4:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Ken Stokes officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the ALS Association of Georgia (Lou Gehrig's Disease) 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Suite 116, Atlanta, Georgia 30329 or to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10305.
