Elsie Busby, of Riverdale, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at the age of 98. Mrs. Busby was gifted with a life that spanned many years, and what remained a common thread throughout was her immense love for God. Second only to her faith was her abundant love of family, and she strengthened those close bonds with her caring and compassionate ways. Mrs. Busby was rich in both talent and creativity. She was an excellent cook, played the piano, and knew her way around the garden; flowers were her specialty. Mrs. Busby was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew "Buz" Busby; grandson, Chris Busby; daughters-in-law, Mary Busby, Annelle Busby; son-in-law Larry Mulkey.
Mrs. Busby will be remembered with deep respect and admiration by her daughter, Peggy Jo Mulkey; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Busby and Judy Pike, Donald Jack Busby, Larry and Jenifer Busby; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd Webb, Floyd Webb; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service will be held Friday, April 10, 2020, 1:00 P.M., at Sherwood Memorial Park, 6841, Tara Boulevard, in Jonesboro, with Bro. Buford "Bubba" Perry officiating.
Due to the current COVID-19, and coronavirus pandemic recommendations, the family regrets that the services must be held at a later date.
