Mildred Louise (Rogers) Woodall, of Alpharetta, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the age of 93. A devoted member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Mrs. Woodall was, by all accounts, the epitome of a loving woman. She viewed the world through an optimistic and cheerful lens – giving of herself without any expectations. She had a way of putting people at ease and sensing who needed support and nurturing – this made her like a "second mother" to many. As a successful salesperson at Haverty's Furniture, her work ethic garnered praise from her supervisor. He often said he would like to have everyone be a "Mildred"! Another claim to fame was her sense of style, impeccably dressed from head to toe, with every hair in place, and her trademark red lipstick. Mrs. Woodall was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Woodall; parents, John Wesley and Sarah Jane (Tweedell) Rogers; and sister, Mary Jane (Rogers) Woodruff.
The beauty and wonder of Mrs. Woodall has left a lasting impression in the lives of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Johnny Simms; grandchildren, Richard and Laura Simms, Wesley and Ashley Simms; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Erin, Kyle, Brianna, Caitlyn, Abigail, Audrey; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Guy Drake; grandchildren, Angela and John Davis; great-grandchildren, Jason and Crystal Seboe, Chandler and Sydney Mulcahy, Zachery Mulcahy, Gunnar Davis; great-great-grandchildren, Todd, Mason, Breanna, Ace; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Craig Bettilyon; grandchildren, Joseph Ryan Simms, Melinda and Roberto Ortiz, Melissa and Brian Pfiel; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Angel, Isaac, Joseph, Jacob; great-great-grandchild, Gohan.
A Graveside Service to honor Mrs. Woodall will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Keith Pritchett officiating.
