Johnny Dodson, of Conyers, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the age of 64. A welder by trade, Mr. Dodson was talented with his hands and could build something from nothing. He was hardworking and loved his job in the movie industry. In his spare time, Mr. Dodson enjoyed fishing, reading, watching Westerns, and traveling to the mountains with his wife, Dolores. His dry sense of humor shined through affectionately and though he liked picking on people, it was done with love. Mr. Dodson will be remembered for always putting his family first and loving them unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Marie Dodson; brothers, Jimmy Dodson, David Dodson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Dolores Dodson; daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Jack Adams, Rebecca Ogles, Sarah Dodson; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Lynn Dodson; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sisters, Sharon Barfield, Ellen Dooley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Dodson will be held at a later date.
