Elizabeth M. Johnson of Covington, passed away September 4, 2012, at the age of 92. Mrs. Johnson was born January 11, 1920, to the late Charles and Mae (Lee) Milner. She was a faithful member of Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.V. Johnson, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne J. Ellington of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Danny C. Johnson and Kay Wilson of Atlanta; sisters, Ada Morgan of Covington, Allene Lee of Oklahoma; brother, Vester Milner of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Lee and Peter O'Driscoll, Cali and Patrick Briggs; great-grandchildren, Hannah O'Driscoll, Grace O'Driscoll, Meghan O'Driscoll, Charlie Briggs, Beatrice Briggs; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Friday, September 7, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Kelly Brisendine and Bill Norton officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, September 6, from 5:00-8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be to Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church, in memory of Mrs. Elizabeth M. Johnson, P.O. Box 700, Porterdale, GA 30070.
