Maggie Elizabeth Rainey of Covington, passed away September 18, 2012, at the age of 90. Mrs. Rainey was a member of Union United Methodist Church, in Stockbridge, where she loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Rainey was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William Drue Rainey; parents, Frank Cleburn, Sr., and Sadie (Chandler) Almand; and her sisters, Annie Lura Young and Sarah Frances Hooten.
Survivors include her brother, Frank C. Almand, Jr.; and three generations of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Rainey will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, 3:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Rick Marson and Rev. Wallace Wheeles officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Friday, from 1:00-3:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Union United Methodist Church, 4600 Highway 138 SW, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
