Alverna "Al" Kepner, age 87, of Conyers, passed away July 14, 2014. Mrs. Kepner was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Grammy. Her husband, Herb, served in the United States Army for 21 years, and together they traveled all over the world. They raised three sons and one daughter, and were very proud of all their children. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, William "Willie" Kepner; and her brothers, Carl Ritter and Charles Ritter, Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Herbert Kepner; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Cunningham, all of Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Patricia Kepner of Oxford, Curtis and Linda Kepner of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Lisa, Kenny, Jessica and Morgan, Branden and Alex; and great-grandson, Riley.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Kepner will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
